Today I tried the new Taco Bell Loaded Taco Burrito. We gave our preliminary thoughts on the Loaded Taco Burrito on Episode 4 of our podcast. The Loaded Taco Burrito contains ground beef, lettuce, cheese, tomato, sour cream, avocado ranch and red tortilla strips wrapped in a flour tortilla.
The Loaded Taco Burrito tasted basically how I expected. It tastes pretty much like most Taco Bell items because it is just the newest combination of their staple ingredients. The first bite brings that familiar taco taste, with a bit more crunch. The combination of tortilla strips and crisp lettuce provided nice textural tones to what otherwise would have been a mushy beef burrito.
For the first half of my burrito, the sour cream was a faint compliment, exactly how I like it. However, as I moved into the back half of my burrito, the sour cream became more prevalent to the point of being overwhelming in the final few bites. I never really noticed the avocado ranch sauce but it may have improved the overall taste.

What the Loaded Taco Burrito lacks in innovation it makes up for in value. This item will work great as an add on to your typical Taco Bell meal as long as it remains at $1.49. This is a solid amount of food for the value, and if you like Taco Bell I assume you will enjoy the Loaded Taco Burrito as well.
