Wendy’s has a new twist on a menu staple. The Giant Junior Bacon Cheeseburger is essentially the same classic burger times two. The Giant JBC features two beef patties, two slices of American cheese, two layers of thick-cut Applewood Smoked bacon, along with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The sandwich is available as part of a $5 deal along with fries, four piece nuggets, and a drink.
The Giant JBC may be the easiest review we have ever written. If you like Wendy’s bacon cheeseburgers, then there is no reason you will not enjoy this burger. The cheese on mine could have been melted a bit more, but that is just a minor quibble. The Giant JBC was fantastic, and having that extra patty made the sandwich much more filling than the regular junior bacon cheeseburger. While the classic is more of a side sandwich, the Giant JBC can serve as the anchor of a meal.
The real value of the Giant JBC is the addition of it to Wendy’s version of a value meal. They have had the 4 for $4 menu for a while now, and the biggest complaint people had was that the meal was not filling enough. By adding the Giant JBC, and increasing the price to $5, the meal is now much more capable of standing on its own. For an additional dollar, the increase in value to satisfaction ratio is well worth the cost. Overall, I would highly recommend the Giant JBC meal deal to anyone who enjoys a Wendy’s burger.
