McDonald’s has three new Signature Crafted sandwiches on their menu: Pico Guacamole, Sweet BBQ, and Maple Bacon Dijon . Options for protein are a quarter pound beef patty, grilled chicken, or buttermilk crispy chicken. You can also choose between sesame seed or artisan bun. At my local McDonald’s the cost of the sandwich was $5.29 and the medium combo cost $7.29.
I reviewed McDonald’s new Signature Crafted Maple Bacon Dijon grilled chicken sandwich on an artisan bun.
The most important thing you need to know about this sandwich is the dijon flavor is the most powerful. If you are a dijon fan you may enjoy this burger. However, if you do not enjoy the taste of dijon you should probably order either the Pico Guacamole or the Sweet BBQ version of the sandwich.

The maple taste is not as powerful as the dijon flavor but is still noticeable. The bacon may have been my favorite part of the sandwich. It was cooked to perfection, providing a bit of crisp texture without being too crunchy and brittle. The lettuce and white cheddar cheese did not add much to the overall taste. The artisan bun was soft and delicious. The grilled chicken provided a bit of flavor but was perhaps a bit overcooked for my liking.
Overall the Maple Bacon Dijon Burger is a unique new fast food option. The sandwich tasted more like something you might get at an upscale burger restaurant rather than your local drive thru. The medium combo is under $8.00, making this meal a solid value. I would recommend this sandwich to anyone who likes dijon flavors. However, if you do not like dijon, you will almost certainly not enjoy this option.
