The new Taco Bell Dipping Burritos are an order of two small burritos that contain either steak or cantina slow-roasted chicken, a blend of cheeses, and avocado ranch sauce. Cheese is added to the outside and the burritos are grilled like the Grilled Cheese Burrito. You are then provided the choice of dipping sauce that can be chipotle sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, or nacho cheese.
The burritos at my Taco Bell cost $4.99, but I got them as a part of the new $9 Luxe Discovery Box that also contained a Doritos Loco Taco, a hard shell taco, cinnamon twists, and a drink.
These burritos were very delicious, but I couldn’t help feeling like I was just having a smaller version of the Grilled Cheese Burrito. While the ingredients differ somewhat (the Grilled Cheese Burrito has rice and crispy strips, along with all three of the dipping sauces inside it,) the general flavor of the overpowering cheese made it a similar experience.

My main issue is that these burritos were very small – about the length of a credit card. This meant while the taste was very good, they were not very filling for a relatively large price. Since the burritos have so much cheese, this also meant that my variation with chipotle sauce was a whopping 710 calories for something that did not seem like a meal on their own.
This is something that could probably be passed on as long as the grilled cheese burrito is still on the menu. While there are some differences, the main ones are removing ingredients or putting them on the side, which you can already do through customizations. I am rating it as a 6/10.
